Prefitara

Prep note 3

Bringing someone with you to a research visit

Many people prefer not to attend a research visit alone. Study sites have different rules about companions, and privacy still applies.

Site policies vary

Some clinics welcome a support person in the room; others keep companions in the waiting area for parts of the visit. Ask before the day.

Privacy and consent

Consent conversations and medical history are usually private. A companion may join only with your permission and the site’s policy.

Practical planning

Ask about parking, how long to block on the calendar and whether an elevator or ramp is available.

Information only

Prefitara does not arrange transport or companions. The note helps you know what to ask.

Prefitara is an information website, not a medical provider, research sponsor, study site, or recruiter. We never recruit for studies, arrange visits, or refer you to research sites, and we keep your details to ourselves. Treat every guide as general information rather than medical, legal, or financial advice.
